Unidentified rose:
I bought this (a cheapie at £2) as 'Dame de Coeur' which is a deep red. It very obviously isn't! It's a handspan across and very scented, so a keeper.
I wondered if it's 'Double Delight', but unsure. "D.D." appears on a few of the sites which sell cheap roses.
All help appreciated.

After all, whether you like it is more important? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...

I've done that before. Bought a Paul's Scarlet which has turned out a beautiful deep red with a white stripe, and 2 Peace which are deep pink and brilliant yellow respectively. All 3 are lovely roses , just not what I expected!

It seems to be happening more and more, Penny, to me. I've even had plants wrongly named from Nurseries in the last few months..

Thanks, Klahanie. I'm veering towards that conclusion. I wanted to know in order to have some idea of its growth and shape.
I bought 3 'Dame de Coeur'. Not one is what it said on the packet. I have a bushy reddy-pink noisette type (no scent) and a bright pink hybrid tea type flower. (Very scented). No idea what these are either! Serves me right for looking for bargains!!
