Bought 3 carnation plants at the Southport show. Basically 3 cuttings in small pots. I've potted them on into bigger pots and I was told to keep them over winter for planting out next year. My question is, should I cut the tops to encourage bushing or should I just let the single stem grow. Thanks in advance.
