Hi everyone, I have a hedge which is dying. At first Thought that it had been starved of water by the tree behind. Now it seems to be travelling along the hedge. Can anyone help please?

We had a privet hedge that did this and it was honey fungus. we removed the dead stuff and the hedge plants 1m either edge of dead bits. that did save the rest. we then replaced the dead and removed plants with hawthorn and blackthorn which were not affected by the fungus.
Scrape the bark back from the dead/dying stuff. iff it smells of mushrooms and has a creamy layer it is hf.
