Please try not to laugh this is not a joke but does anyone hold out any hope for these two cordylines. Obviously the weather and lack of rain has played a big part in this.

They've got two chances. Give them a good drink and strip the dead leaves from the bottom up. It might take a while but I've seen them resurrect from lack of water before.

There is still life in them, move them further out from the shadow of the house, then they will get more rain water. As said water well and remove the dead lower leaves. I wouldn't feed them this late in the season but next spring a general all purpose feed would be a benefit.

I've seen worse come back and they may even send up some shoots from the roots.

Thank you Seaburngirl, I think we’ve neglected them. We don’t usually water them and they’ve thrived but obviously it’s been rain free this year. Fingers crossed we can save them.

Everything in nature wants to live (exception would be some humans). Strip off the dead growth to avoid fungus; repot in a larger pot since they are most likely root bound and cannot hold moisture and add a small pinch of all purpose fertilizer to the watering can when empty. Lastly do not forget that they are there.
