just started gardening... is there anything eg (veg) I can start to plant now??

as seaburngirl says you can plant winter cabbages. you could also plant autumn onions for an earlier crop next year, and nearer to xmas depending on where you live you can also plant broad beans, i live near the coast in n/e essex and always plant mine in the ground last 2 weeks of december. i've never had problems apart from losing the odd one or two.
