Another question. Would like to move two established salvia’s and a caryopteris as they have outgrown their spot. Should I cut them down and then dig up now? Not sure what to do with them as they might go to charity plant sale. Thanks

now is as good a time as any unless you have frost forecast and yes reduce them by at least half. this will allow the plants to save water while new roots develop.
