Clematis 'Star of India'
I bought this as a small plant to climb up a post but it doesn't seem to be putting out tendrils for climbing. Is this one that scrambles rather than climbs, please? Does anyone on here grow it and does it flower well? Thanks.

it is a climber according to the RHS. Clematis don't produce tendrils, the leaf twines around the structures it touches. So just let it do what it needs to do.
