I found it growing randomly last summer. It grows really slowly.

Interesting! I wonder how that ended up in the garden considering that there are no larches nearby. I guess time will tell how it grows.

The seed is very small and winged so blown in would be my guess or even in the compost used in he pot.

It looks like a larch seedling. if it is it will grow into a tall tree, but over many many years.
