Amelanchier x grandiflora 'Ballerina'. Has so much interest from early spring into autumn. Birds go crazy for the fruits.

Amelanchier is a favourite here too. Also, maybe Prunus Burgundy?

My recommendation would be an ornamental pear tree. It grows to about 30 feet in height (average). It flowers profusely in the spring (colour white). All flowers drop within a few days. In the fall the leaves turn a fiery red then all drop within a day. The roots go down deep with very little horizontal growth so they never lift up paving. It is very disease and pest resistant.
