Certainly. Got fed up with pricking myself on those deadly spikes. You wouldn't want to catch them in your eyes.

I have several, and it takes just a few minutes every month to break out the garden shears and clip the tips. It really doesn't destroy the look of the plant. However, I don't do it on my neighbor's side as I originally planted them as a deterrent for their dogs.

They always look very un-English to me But this one is doing well. Hope it gets enough sunlight behind that tall hedge though.
