Hi. I have an Azalea in the ground, been there for 2 to 4 years and not very big, I want to take it with me when I move this year, I will be putting it in a pot with Ericaceus soil, I know it sould be lifted in the Autumn but I need to do it now if poss, any advice is welcome xx

Soak it well before digging. Take as big a root ball as you can manage.

I have a five foot Azalea that is now in its fourth home. I take with with me when we move and it comes up smiling every time. Go for it!

I agree with Owd, plenty of water for a few days them as much roots and soil as you can safely lift. wrap in sacking if you can to keep soil and dampness in.
