I'm wanting to create some screening to disguise the utility area of our garden (shed, bikes, compost). One idea I had was whether we could do this with natives. Has any one done this or can recommend suitable plants? We have a medium sized suburban garden (main section is ~12x12m). The screen will curve round one corner which faces NE so is partially shaded and would be about 3m long and hedge could be about 1.5m high. Ideas welcome.

A row of cordon fruit trees would
give you screening, blossom and fruit. Can't be bad. Or put up some trellis and train a blackberry or loganberry on it.

« Am I watering them to much?. Is that why they are not coming into buds?
Natives that will get to that height wouldnt be trees/shrubs, things like foxgloves verbascum thalictrum would however. as would Ivy.
what about some trellis with evergreen climbers? [evergreen honeysuckle, Clematis armandi?] planted with natives in front.
