Rhubarb, Rhubarb, Rhubarb
We have a Rhubarb plant ( it was here when we arrived). We initially disturbed its roots by digging out a shrub which was growing alongside but used the opportunity to incorporate well rotted manure.
We ensure it has ample water but the stalks are very thin and seem to shoot straight to seed.
Any advice for getting a good crop, as we both love rhubarb crumble with custard?

It's probably past it's best, mine is the same. I am going to dig up as much of the crown as I can and start them off in a new place.

Next question
Give a good top dressing of well rotted manure or compost and see how next year goes... Rhubarb does not, generally, need any watering.
