I have a number of little self sown cotoneaster horizontalis seedlings popping up in containers left half under a mature plant. Will these come true? I was thinking of potting them up for a plant sale if they are good.

As Cotoneaster horizontalis is not a hybrid then there is no reason for it not to run true. The only time this might happen is for it to produce a 'sport'.
