Pieris japonica dropping leaves. Have fed, watered it and given it a good talking to but it just seems so sad compared to what it used to look like. I have already filled two buckets full of leaves. Is it pot bound maybe?

I think pot bound could be the cause. So either put in a bigger pot/ or the ground. Pruning would also help after wards.

Thank you both. Am not sure whether I can get it out in one piece as I’d prefer to keep the pot, will have to see how it goes.

Definitely looks big for that size of pot. The water probably has nowhere to go if there are a lot of roots in there.
