they are the unripe seeds of Calla lily [Zantendeschia] . If left to change colour they can be grown as any other seed.

Just out of interest Iris seeds are always found in a seed pod that has 3 compartments.

I thought seeds of the Stinking Iris, Iris foetidissima.
