I have mushrooms/toadstools growing on my lawn and flower beds how do I get rid of them?

Also the large majority of fungi are beneficial in the garden and help provide nutrients to the roots of plants, as well as breaking down dead organic material, so they are not something to be wary of.

You can't, these are just the fruiting bodies of an underground root system - twist them off and dispose of them if they're troubling you, but they'll disappear on their own within a fortnight or so.
