when is the best time to take cuttings of box? and do they root easily?

Buxus?? You can take them all throught the winter and they will root like weeds! I teach propagation and it is the one plant that will root reliable all through the winter and is small enough for all the students to have a go.

Most evergreens will root in Winter, Bamboo (if they will root at all). Laurels, Holly, Euonymus, etc. I have even rooted Camellias in Winter, but not Rhodos.

Semi ripe in summer, so too late this year.
