do I have to dig up rudbeckia and store like my dhalias?

All Rudbeckias have roots, not tubers, so they can't be dug up and stored. Some are annuals, while others are perennials. The annual ones will just die as soon as cold weather comes along, and the perennial ones will die back to the ground, and re-grow with fresh growth next year.
