Should I Remove Veggies Damaged by Pigeons?
This week my swedes were badly damaged by pigeons. Despite having an abundance of pigeons around the garden, this is actually the first time that they have harmed the swedes. Silly too, as I have my broccolli and peas netted but not the swedes.
So, should I give up on the swedes and lift the young plants, or will they still grow? Some are really stripped to skeletons.

Thanks, Owdboggy. I should have put nets over but thought I would get aaway with it on the swedes. A lesson learned for next year.

yes leave them in, depends on how damaged they are. Some may well go on to give a decent sized swede at the end of the growing season.

Thanks, Seaburngirl. They are pretty bad with mostly skeletal leaves left. But the roots themselves have started to bulk up and it would be a pity to lose them.

« Hello everyone, I've not been able to log in for quite a few days. Amazingly...
Happens every year here for us. We just leave them and some grow, some don't.
