Is this normal for my aeoniums all the black bottom leaves have shrivelled and fell off whereas the top rosettes are lush shiny green that look like new growth with a tinge of black on the points of some leaves. I know they have a dormancy period and to reduce watering to dry. They are in a summer house about 55 degrees Fahrenheit, Any pointers

I have brought mine into a cool conservatory and stopped watering them. The leaf fall is normal and as time goes on there will be side shoots forming and it will end up as a small 'tree' like shape. The neighbour has one that is 4ft tall with about 14 'branches'.

I usually take mine off as cuttings in the spring .
hope this helps.
