I have been given cerinthe seeds. I've never grown it before. Could you tell me when best to sow them, (I'm in West Sussex) and whether they should grow in pots or the garden. I don't have a greenhouse and will have to manage with the lean-to windowsill. I want to get the timing right so that I don't have dozens of plants getting too big under cover but unable to cope outside if the weather is too cold. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you,
Penny

In east Yorks I sow them direct in early April. I have done them in pots before starting some late March and keeping in the unheated cold frame.

How do I say thanks?
