A lot of my new tulips which I planted in the Autumn have come up a different shade from what I planted, My double pinks in my tubs have come up a dirty white or maroon and white striped and some pink. Is this due to the weather.
It has never happened to me before.

Thanks so many strange things happening in the garden this year with the odd weather we have suffered in the vale this last Autumn and Winter.

« Would hardy geraniums do best on the sunny or the shady side of the garden?
No, it's due to bad labelling at the bulb suppliers.
Quite simply, they have mixed them up
I'd take photos and contact the supplier.
A reputable company will refund or re-supply.
I've had similar problems with Amaryllis, wrong colour. Of course, you can only find out once it flowers.
My supplier said I was not alone, there was a faulty batch so I was no the only one
You may find you're not alone either
