Sunny, they'd love it

Either, they don't seem to be bothered about sun or shade, certainly not in our garden at least.

some dont do well in shade G renardii being one of them. G phaeum and G macrorrhizum are happier in some shade in my garden.
though generally they do like the sun.

Thank you all for these replies. It looks as though I needn't worry too much! I'll put macrorrhizum in the shadier patch and the other 3 in the sun.
