Hi everyone, my friend has this plant in one of her beds. She is unsure of its name. I couldn’t help unfortunately. Can anyone identify please? Many thanks.

Looking again I wonder if it is one of the forms of Persicaria?
Could really do with a closer view of the leaves to be sure.
Astilbe does look a good id as well.

Thank you, Owd. I’ll put it to her and see if any ring a bell from buying them - she lost the labels. She enjoys gardening but admits she is forgetful re labels and names.
