My Pulsatilla has been the best ever. It’s grown into a small shrub and had so many blooms I lost count. Thought you might like to see it.

Pulsatilla rubra.
If you leave the seed heads on, then sow the seeds as soon as they start to fall. Nip the tails off when sowing as they can cause the seed to rot.

I think though that I shall try to split the bush as if left it will be too large for the narrow bed.

It will almost certainly die, if you disturb the roots.
