My daughter lives in Japan (Kyoto which has hot humid summers and cold winters). She misses her English vegetables and would like to grow them but has found that many fail because of the climate.
Can anyone suggest what would do well. It needs to not take up a lot of space, be able to cope with very hot wet summer conditions or to mature very fast in their short spring and autumn which is like a speeded up version of our spring and summer.
Her small city garden is also prone to voracious hairy caterpillars of unknown species- which have been seen to win a fight with a large wasp.
