should i cut my asters down? they are still in flower but the stems are now looking dark, although there is signs of new leaf growth. thanks

thanks moon grower, i bought 3 asters from the clearance section of the GC recently. the colours are lovely.

Asters will die back naturally. If the plants are still in flower I'd leave them until they get frosted, then cut them back.
