I have just received some Camassia Esculenta bulbs, and in the plantinginstructions, reference is made to an alternative - E.Cusikii - stating it can be planted even in wet and heavy soil. Other sites however, advise well drained, not waterlogged. Comments?

Did you mean to type C. cusikii, Guest? All Camassia will withstand moist soils but do not like to stand in water for days at a time. Some drainage is necessary to avoid this but it does not need a lot. It will still grow in normal border soil, wetness is not a necessity.
