Should I leave my potato crop in the the ground still at this time of year or should I lift and store?

Answers

Your potatoes should have been lifted by September. Lift them now and allow to dry off on the ground for a few hours, clean off any excess soil and store in cool dry conditions - preferably in hessian sacks. You'll need to check the potatoes as you lift them as some could well have started to go rotten.
