how do i overwinter calla lilies please

someone has told me to shake all soil from roots and leave just 2in foliage on and then when perfectly dry store only in paper bags or newspaper
i am going to try it as i have alovely black calla and wouldn't like to loseit

There we are then Cristina, shall do mine over the weekend. I've seen the black ones, they look really exotic, does it have the spotted leaves? Mines a deep pink one and had so many lily flowers, that lasted ages....:o)

I'm pleased you've asked this Walto, as I'm wondering what to do with mine. If there are no definite replies, I'm going to treat mine like Dahlia tubers and dry them off and store in cool frost-free conditions.
