My info is that it is hardy down to -17.7 C. Not bad for such an icon of the American South!

Not too sure if they would survive outside over winter but should be ok in a greenhouse I have grown Hibiscus splendens in West Yorkshire over the last 2 years and they have been fine outside in summer and brought into a greenhouse for the winter with the heater set just to keep frost off I have some seeds so I am interested to see any other replies think that due to climate change we can grow more and more delicate plants in the uk although in saying that last winter sort of put a bit of an hole in that.
