Growing seeds for personal use in greenhouse

I planted 3months ago some echium wildprettii and have heard that they can grow very tall which is why i bought them, however they don't seem to have grown as quickly as i'd have hoped so my question is how should i get them to
grow bigger

I have grown echium,s from seed,and as far as I know they are biennials,so maybe they will put on the majority of growth next year,their flowering year?
