My camelia is loosing its leaves and some of the flower buds seem to be turning brown. Could it be from the severe frost we've had? I have it in a large pot which i top up with compost every spring. Should i prune it back after flowering ?

It's possibly losing leaves and buds due to frost or cold winds. There's not a lot you can do about it except move it to a less exposed position in winter as it's in a pot - if it's not too heavy to move. Camellias don't NEED pruning - only prune if you need it to be smaller to fit its space. You will lose some flowers if you do that.
