They are a bog plant and prefer to grow in damp but not soaking soil, so I would add vermiculite to aid this. I got a good germination rate, but quite a few got stringy, weak and died. I later found out that you need filtered water as they only live in bogs with very clean water.
Getting the balance between never allowing them to dry out and not drowning them is the difficult bit.
