Hi we laid our lawn last summer and my OH has planted crocus bulbs in the centre of it(as a nice surprise for me!) will that ruin the lawn should I dig them out?

No need to dig them out, I'm sure they'll look lovely when they flower. It'll be like all the public parks have, nice and naturalised looking.

just don't mow the area until the bulbs have died off a bit, my neighbour has all types of bulbs in the orchard -- we have primroses self seeded in the lawn which look really nice-- they get mowed regularly in the summer but it doesn't seem to worry them

Crocuses are common to find in grass, and the two get on well, and look absolutekly fantastic.

In Spring I will post a blog with pictures of hundreds purple crocuses growing wild in the orcahrd area on the estate where I live.

Just looking at my lawn now. I've got around 400 planted & they come up in waves, starting with whites 1st & the purples last. One of the best things I've done in the garden.
