My Libertia peregrinans is growing in a pot and has always survived the winter outside. However, after this winter it is slowly losing its stems and I am wondering if it will have survived - if it will re-grow from the base. Advice please. June Lemon

It might, might not - its possible the compost in the pot froze solid, and if it did this for any length of time, it would have killed the plant outright - partial freezing may have damaged the roots. I'd turn it out of its pot and have a look at the roots to see how they're looking, and in case there's any other explanation - occupation by beasties of some kind, perhaps.
