Bought this orchid in a supermarket last year but know nothing about it, as there was no label attached. It has flowered twice in the year and seems to be thriving. Can someone please tell me the name of this variety, and as I wish to re-pot it when it has finished flowering, can I reduce the number of the healthy air roots as there are so many.
Thanks

The orchid you have is a Phalaenopsis if you copy and paste the url below into your web browser you will find lots of excellent info.

I personally would not cut off the air roots, the plant needs them and the fact you have lots show that it is healthy. I would also add that all my phal's whilst in clear pots are then in cache pots which are not clear. I just lift them out to see if the orchid needs a drink.
