Rain damage?

In order to brighten up the garden for a garden party I planted some containers in the last week of August with a variety of plants - begonia, geraniums, cineraria, a type of campanula - the one that looks like a miniature rose with masses of little blue flowers - and two oxalis triangularis. They were beautiful until the first week of September when we had pretty torrential rain over a couple of days. Afterwards they all looked completely devastated apart from the cineraria. Could this just be down to the rain? - the plants in the borders were fine, although a jasmine growing on the patio but not in a container is equally damaged - or is there another cause? I realise this is a few weeks ago now, but we would appreciate any suggestions as to the cause and what we can we do to save our plants - particularly the jasmine and the oxalis

I am afraid that I agree - from your photo the damage looks terminal. Sorry!

Bit late to plant out, especially if they came outdoors from a garden centre into all this rain.
