Hi. When is it safe to put half-hardy plants saved from last year into a cold frame? I have some geraniums and dahlias that I want to move off my indoor windowsills so I can start seed-growing. I live in Cheshire and we can get overnight frosts right up to the end of May.
Thank You

Yes, it's too early to put these outside yet. But if you have a frost free porch or bright shed/garage window sill they should survive. If we get any really cold weather again it may be wise to bring them back in again temporarily. Also, don't forget to harden them off before you plant them out. This is for wind resistance as well as temperature acclimatisation.
