Hello, can you tell me please if i bought seeds for candelabra primula would they flower this year? P.S if i planted them!!

Agree with Owdb. better to get two or three plants if they like your ground they will seed themselves, then it is just a question of not weeding them out!

Certainly not this year, Ss. I would expect two or three years to flowering. Do you know anyone who grows candelabras, Ss? Then I would suggest asking for some seed from them at the end of the summer and sowing straight away. If this hypothetical friend grows them successfully then they may be open to lifting a few self seedlings from around the clump for you ;-).

Doubtful. They take a couple of years to get to flowering size even if you managed to get the seeds to germinate. The seeds have a very short lifespan and often the bought ones are basically dead.
