I have a lovely buxus sempiverens hedge, about 18" high edging a large flower bed. But two of the plants' foilage has been attacked and stripped. I cannot detect any insects, but I am worried, this may spread to the rest of the hedge. Do I have to remove the stricken plants, or is there a pest control product I can purchase to prevent the spread? Also can anyone identify the pest doing the damage?
With thanks in anticipation.

And are the leaves actually gone, VL, or were they found laying under the bush? Were just the leaves removed, or were the smaller twigs cut, also?
