I would like to grow (or have grown for me) some Aquilegia Black Barlow for a party in October. The usual flowering period is May-June. Can this be done?

If it's the colour you want, why not see if there are some other plants that flower then that would do? Chocolate cosmos and dahlias, some of which are deep blackish shades, come to mind.

For more dark colour you could use a bronze pittosporum in a display - that lookes great amongst other cut flowers and foliage.

Hi Christo and welcome to GoY. Sorry but I think even a professional nurseryman would have a problem with getting aquilegias to flower in October. By then the daylight hours are getting shorter and they will be dying back for winter.
