when is the latest I can plant roses. I am thinking of buying bare rooted ones.

I think suppliers won't send them out past a certain point in the year, bare root anyway - container ones can be planted year round, but the bare root need to go in by the end of this month, or autumn.

Bare root roses will still be available. It's important to plant them as soon as you can once you get them home - if you can't do it right away, heel them into a spare bit of ground to stop the roots from drying out. If you want to benefit from the cost savings of buying bare root but don't want to plant in the soil until later in the year, you could always plant them in containers until you're ready.
