i ve put some grass seeds down on my lawn but were having frosty nights will it kill them or will they grow when it gets warmer? and how do i keep the bloody birds of it eating the seed

Grass won't normally germinate /grow much below 6-7c. Keep it covered with mesh and it should grow when it warms up a bit

Use chicken wire or fine mesh laid over the seeded parts to stop the birds eating the seeds. Some people find that sieved compost over the seeds helps. It won't germinate if the temps are low, though.
