Thank you Poaanna for your reply to my question. I'm not too well up in understanding terms like stamens and pistiles, so I thought if I sent you a close-up of the flower (best I can do with my amateur camera) you might be able to help me deciphering the sex.

Lovely photo! You have four stamens which produce pollen on each flower which makes it male. There is no pistil or stigma in the centre so no female parts to pollinate and make berries.

Your tree is a male. so I fesr you wont get any berries. Thiis is not the kind of Holly I am used to Regards Peter
