The previous owners of our property left behind a shed full of gardening equipment, some useful, but mostly badly neglected and fit only for the dump. There was also a collection of plant foods, some partly used and some unopened. None of them seem to display a 'use by date' and I wonder if they would be safe to use or do these products deteriorate with age? Your advice would be much appreciated.

Actual plant foods--sans insecticides, fungicides, or weed killers--are good as long as they are kept dry, though.

if you have gardening tools like rake , hoe ,fork , spade , you can actually use broom handles to replace the old handles, thats if the lower metal piece is in good condition

I'm advised that chemicals deteriorate over time, and may even become toxic, so it looks like a trip to the recycling centre for safe disposal for you, Bernard, sorry.
