Hello all! The winter cold seems to have left my standard Buxus suffering badly. They look dead, but there is green underneath the bark, and the odd green leaf. Should I cut my losses, or has this happened to anyone else, and did they recover? The buxus hedge right in front of them has survived without a whimper!

Thank you Tugbrethil, I'll give them a weak feed today and see how they get on, they do look a bit of a sight, but I'd like to give them a bit longer before they get the chop! Thanks for the advice!

I would feed them lightly, to stimulate new growth. Once they sprout, cut off anything that isn't sprouting. You will then need to decide how to restore them to their previous shape, or if you want to start over with new ones.
