Hello, I am looking to plant a small tree in our front garden. It is positioned North-east. So I guess I can only buy a Shade tolerant tree. I was thinking of a dogwood tree. Does anybody have another idea?

I guess I am not mad about holly. Plus, I am thinking more about a tree than a bush. Was also thinking of a cherry tree Morello that apparently does well in the shade. Any advice on the latter?

How about a standard holly, rather slow growing, but lots of attractive varieties.
