Disease of walnut tree - yellow spots
By Chrispook
Pest county, near Budapest, Hungary
Our walnut tree developed a conditiow with yellow spots all over the leaves last Summer. Will it harm the tree? What is it? Do we need to treat the tree to prevent a recurrence?

I am not sure this is downy spot. Looks more like Leaf Gall Mite damage to me if the spots are raised as they appear to be. See:

If so this seems to be cosmetic only and not too harmful to the tree.

I think your tree has Downy Spot - yellow spots on the upper leaf surface and white powdery mildew on the underside ?
If it is this then there is no need to do anything. Apart from looking unsightly it will not harm your crop.
